The Skavenblight Gazette is
a fanzine about the Children of the Horned Rat, the Skaven. It is
mainly written and produced by members of the Skaven foum, The UnderEmpire.
The publication is a collection of articles on
Skaven, be it painting, modelling, tactics, themed army ideas, fluff,
house rules, or anything at all Skaven related. There is no real
schedule, it will be a more laid back approach, collecting articles
and releasing an edition when we have enough content.
It is a homage to our love of Skaven. For the
Horned Rat!
The Skavenblight Gazette is always
looking for articles. If you wish to submit an article, get into
contact with the Lead Editor. The Lead Editor will be your main
point of contact, liasing between you and the other editors, outlining
what is needed, making suggestions, and generally making sure the
creative process runs as smoothly as possible.
Articles should be supplied as a Word or text
document, with pictures clearly indicated. If at all possible, seperate
picture files should be included as well. These can be .jpg, .eps,
.tif or .psd. The Production team will manipulate images as they
see fit for the best results in the final publication.
Even if you only have a basic idea about an article,
don't hesitate to contact the Lead Editor. The Lead Editor will
either work with you, or put you onto one of the other Editors,
to help you develop your article.
To get you started, here are some article suggestions.
- Short story piece
- Tactics piece
- Modelling tips and tricks
- Clan overviews
- Scanarios
Contact the Lead Editor if you wish to volunteer
to work on the Skavenblight Gazette, who will work with you on your
idea or getting you an idea to work on..
For the Skavenblight Gazette we are looking
to stockpile as much illustration and photography as we can for
inclusion if the need arises. We are talking original work here,
no scans from GW publications or pictures pulled from other peoples
sites. Original work, owned by you, that we can use in the publication
when the need arises. Obvisouly, you will be credited in any issue
you appear in.
Submissions should be supplied in .jpg, .eps,
.tif or .psd format, at as high a quality as is Skavenly possible.
You can email them to the Production Team or you can email them
with questions. The Skavenblight Gazette reserves the right to refuse
submitted work.
Though the publication is based primarily on Skaven,
images of other races and armies will be accepted. These will probably
be used with less regularity than the images of Skaven, though.
Terrible submissions will be shredded and used
as litter in the Breeders quarters. |
